Special Stitches

double treble crochetYoh twice and insert hk into indicated st, yoh and pull up a loop (4 loops on hk), (yoh and pull through 2 loops) three times.
picotCh2, ss into the 2nd ch from the hk.
standing double crochet Make a slip knot on your hk, hold this in place on the hk and insert hk into the st, pull up a loop, yoh and pull through both loops as you would with a normal dc. With Col. A and a 4mm hook, make a MR.

Round 1. (RS) Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), 11tr into MR, ss in top of beg ch3. [12 sts]

Round 2. Ch3, tr in same st as beg ch3, 2tr in each st to end, ss in 1st st. [24 sts]

Round 3. Ch3, 2tr in next st, *tr, 2tr in next st, rep from * to end, ss in top of beg ch3. [36 sts]

Round 4. *Ch4, ss into base of ch4, ch3, sk 2 sts, ss in next st, rep from * to end, ss in base of beg ch4, FO. [12 ch4-sps, 12 ch3-sps, 24 ss]

Round 5. With Col. B, stdc into any ch4-sp, (htr, tr, 2dtr, picot, 2dtr, tr, htr, dc) in same ch-sp, sk next ch3-sp, *(dc, htr, tr, 2dtr, picot, 2dtr, tr, htr, dc) into next ch4-sp, sk next ch3-sp, rep from * in each remaining ch4-sp, ss in base of beg ch4 from Rnd 4, FO. [12 petals]
