This quick crochet hibiscus flower pattern was inspired by the beautiful hibiscus flower commonly found in subtropical and tropical climates. Despite its tropical origins, this plant can be grown indoors or outdoors in certain temperate climates. Did you know that the leaves and flowers have been used for many years for medicinal purposes? They are also brilliant pollinators and in some cultures, symbolise love and good luck! This crochet pattern uses small amounts of yarn, so it’s perfect for yarn scraps making it the ideal stash-busting crochet project. The crochet hibiscus flower pattern make a beautiful addition to any summer project, whether adding it to a beach bag or summer hat. Why not attach a hair clip to make a stunning and vibrant hair accessory?

Hibiscus Stamen

I have chosen to make the stamen the same colour as the petals but feel free to use a different colour. Work the stamen section in a continuous spiral without ss into the 1st st at the end of each round. Continue with a 3.5mm (US E-4) hook.

Round 9. With Col. FO carefully, not pulling the last loop too small.

Weave in ends and block your flower. Light spray with starch if you need your flower a little stiffer.
